Synthetic fibre rectangular rug, four-colours printed, it displays the ceiling of the Basilica di San Lorenzo in Florence.

The Ceiling rug stemmed from the collaboration between Sebastiano Tosi and Lapo Ciatti, and invites us to look higher and to be inebriated by beauty.
The rug is part of the Firenze carpet collection, a series of three subjects which features the magnificence of some of Florence's most beautiful architecture in a game of mirrors. Sceneries which can usually be enjoyed only from below, are brought to the earth offering an unexpected change of viewpoints. So it happens that the stunning ceiling of the central aisle becomes the wonderful subject of this white and gold carpet, available in two sizes.

Suddenly you will find yourself surrounded by the grandeur of the Medicean Florence and be overwhelmed by the astonishment felt by the women and men of those days when their eyes lifted to observe the placing of the latest work by Michelangelo, when they sharpened their ears to hear to the sound of metal being worked in the forges and the air smelling of lime, wood and leather.

The Firenze Carpet collection is a series of fascinating rugs and they are suitable for residential and professional use. They are the perfect choice to give charm and a touch of magic to the environment, where they are placed.

Marcantonio

Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba was born in 1976 in Massalombarda, Italy. He attended the Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts.
Just graduated he begins to work in the theater scene and collaborating with architects on projects.

Soon he begins to create unique pieces of design in parallel with a production of art, but step by step the two careers are beginning to become contaminated. So its design is enriched with artistic concepts. For over 10 years he worked for private or local public realizes.

Connections between Man and Nature are his favourite theme; interpreting both dynamics and beauties of nature; showing the Man's attitude affecting the original.

Marcantonio loves thinking about his work as a direct continuation of what he used to do when he was a child, playing with everything he finds, and create what his mind imagined. Actually, looking for the aesthetic component and concept, takes ideas from the same sources he created while playing, daydreaming with everything normally surrounds him. He learned from Art how an idea could be elegant, that's why he's always looking for pure concepts and summary.
